The past year hasn’t been the kindest to Maybach Music Group's top-tier stars, Rick Ross, Meek Mill and Wale. According to the general consensus of rap fans, MMG has completely fell the fuck off. Then there were talks of inner division within the crew who made the even poorest rap fan aware of the luxury vehicle company. After going No. 1 with Dreams Worth More Than Money and getting slaughtered by Drake last year, the road to redemption has been a hard fight for Meek Mill. Didn’t hurt that Wale’s comments during an interview with The Breakfast Club which spurned the infamous “not real MMG" quote.
Meanwhile, Ricky Rozay is dealing with legal issues and transition over from Def Jam to Epic. With controversies hitting the label left and right, Ross, Meek and Wale are ready to “Make It Work.” On Wednesday (June 8), all three artists made a grand statement in the best way they know how — releasing music together. The adequately titled single will be featured on the long awaited MMG project Self Made, Vol. 4.
