2324Xclusive Update: Ja Rule Recalls TVT Records Not Signing Jay Z, DMX, Snoop Dogg Or Dr. Dre [video]

Before Ja Rule, Jay Z, and DMX embarked on their illustrious solo careers, the trio belonged to a group called the Cash Money Click.
In a new interview with VladTV, Ja reveals that CMC could've been signed to TeeVee Toons (TVT) Records, instead of ultimately landing at Def Jam as solo artists.
Ja tells Vlad that at the time he arrived at the label, the roster already included Mic Geronimo and Nine Inch Nails. The imprint's CEO/founder Steve Gottlieb had already passed on Dr. Dre's The Chronic album.
"TVT could've been one of the biggest labels right now," he says within the clip. "They had the chance to sign a new up-and-coming artist named Snoop Dogg, because Dr. Dre brought The Chronic album to TVT first."
In addition to not signing Dre and Snoop when they had the chance, TVT also neglected to see the potential in Ja's CMC counterparts.
"When I look back on it, that label could have been humongous," he says. "It could've been a big, big Rap label. He [Gottlieb] didn't get DMX and Jay Z, he fucked over Nine inch Nails and fucked me over."
