Ahlaji Orezi was about to perform his hit song, Shoki, at the school’s freshers event when the university’s chaplain, Pastor Gbenga Akosile entered the hall and ordered that the DJ, who was a student of the school, not to play the song.
The students reportedly staged a protest but the chaplain refused, threatening to expel the DJ if he played the song again.
Orezi didn’t seem to be embarrassed though as he posted on Twitter, “Off to Lagos! Last night still funny though, Redeemers’ University authorities, na wa oo. We were about to start having fun and they just dulled us.
